DAP (decoupling alternator pulley)
HUTCHINSON® Decoupling Alternator Pulley (DAP) with a clutch, is designed for greater power transmission efficiency. DAP will improve performance where there is a high level of torsional vibrations.
Main Benefits
Improved vibratory performance in the FEAD System
Reduction of dynamic tension in the belt
Optimization of belt operating tension
Characteristics
Pulley Structure
- Hutchinson DAPs are power transmission pulleys between the belt and the alternator which include a filtering function. The main component is a torsion spring specially designed to significantly reduce vibrations and withstand heavy loads.
- Hutchinson DAPs can be fitted to all types of alternators. They are particularly well-suited to applications with harsh dynamic behaviour or which require significant reduction of power losses due to friction (improved fuel consumption).
- Our expertise in the simulation of transmission systems enables us to provide functional specifications and design the ideal DAP for your application.
Performances
- Optimize your transmission system
- Reduce overall weight
- Increase the efficiency of your power transmission
- Reduce the cost of your system
